Belly Rubs Basset Rescue Waltz

Saturday morning, Adam, Beauford and I headed to Centennial Park for the Belly Rubs Basset Rescue Waltz.  The annual event is a fundraiser for the local Belly Rubs Basset Rescue here in Nashville.

There was food, games (like longest ears and biggest paws),
 a basset hound kissing booth,

 and LOTS and LOTS

of BASSETS! Easily 40 or more!

And you know Mr. Beauf, he had to meet every single one!

We even saw our friends Kerri, her husband, Roscoe and Hannah (of course, I didn't get a picture though...)

Beauford had the BEST time meeting all his distant cousins, and Belly Rubs raised a lot of money for a great cause. There were some really cute bassets there, but I must say, this little guy was my favorite!

Beauf was so worn out from all the fun that as soon as we got home, he made a beeline for the couch and didn't move for the rest of the day!
I'd say he had a pretty good time!

  1. It is totally amazing how much sleep the require after a big basset bash. So glad you hooked up with Rosco and Hannah we heard they were going on Facebook. We have our big basset bash/waddle in Sept. We will probably have about 200+ on Saturday that run free in a fenced in park and then Sunday we will have about 1000 for the actual parade. Maybe you could plan a trip to Dwight, IL on Sept 22-23 and hook up with lots more bassets. Sniffs, The HoundDogs

P.S. So glad they raised lots of money for the hounds.

  2. I am absolutely loving this!

Don't be shy...
