Date Night Scare-A-Thon

Last night, we headed to Downtown Franklin for Pumpkin Fest.  Though most of the festival had already shut down for the night, bands were still playing and people lined the streets enjoying the night with hot chocolate and coffee.

I caught a whiff of something so heavenly I just HAD to have one asap!
Homemade doughnuts covered in cinnamon and sugar.
A-maz-ingness!

The main reason we came was to watch one of the old movies playing at the Franklin Theatre as part of their "Scare-A-Thon."
Showing last night was the 1973 classic The Exorcist.  Neither one of us had ever seen it, so it was really fun watching it in the theatre as if it were a new release. To be almost 40 years old, it was still really creepy.

The Franklin Theatre is beautiful!  It just recently reopened after being closed for a couple of years and has been completely restored.  The theatre originally opened in 1937, and it feels as if you have stepped back in time when you walk through the front doors. (This picture was taken before the movie started, for all of you thinking I was snapping pictures during the movie...)

I love date nights with the hubs.
