Our Day

The day went something like this:

Washing a MOUND of clothes and cleaning the whole house.

At least, we had a little helper....

Taking a nice two mile walk with Beauford on a nature trail in Brentwood.

I guess Beauford needed to cool down from our walk, because he just trotted right into this stream.

When we got home, Beauford got a bath, and Adam and I headed out for a run.  It ended up being a 5 1/2 mile run with some EXTREME hills.  We are running a 10k this Saturday, and I'm crossing my fingers it's not too hilly, but I'm pretty sure it's going to be.

And last but definitely not least, dinner: Shake and Bake pork chops (my favorite way to eat pork chops), roasted asparagus and white rice.  Delicious!

On another note:
Remember when I asked everyone to go over to Baby Rocket Dog and Hootie's page and vote for Beauford in their costume contest??
Well, Beauford won one of their categories!!  He won first place in the "More is Less" category.  WooHoo! Beauford's prizes arrived yesterday in the mail, and we picked them up today at the front office:

TOYS!!  A flying fish and a toy that holds treats.

There was also a sweet note to Beauford from Baby Rocket Dog and Hootie.  Thank you so much Baby Rocket Dog and Hootie; yall are awesome!

Beauford LOVES his new toys! Especially the flying fish.

The fish may or may not already have a hole torn in it (I told yall that dog is persistent!).  No worries though - Adam sewed it right up!  That's right, Adam is the seamstress in our family.  I do a lot of things, but sewing is not one of them.

All in all, it was a great day!

  1. So glad Beauford liked his prizes! We should have sent some treats to put in the treat dispenser, huh? Cool that your daddy is the seamstress on wounded stuffies...our mommy wishes ours would take on that task too!
