Saturday Fun

We have been going, going, going!  The day started out at the Factory in Franklin, the old stove factory that has been restored into a very unique shopping center.  Next was lunch at Athens, the delicious Greek restaurant that was featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.

Later we met up with our friend, Doug, from North Carolina that works for the Carolina Hurricanes hockey team who was in town for the game.  We decided to take a tour of Ryman Auditorium.  For those of you not familiar with the Ryman, it was the original home of the Grand Ole Opry.

Singing to my adoring fans in the balcony.

You could pose on stage for a picture, but Mr. Mark decided an impromptu concert would be better.  People were waiting in line to take their pictures on the stage, but he didn't care, he played the guitar and sang.  It was hilarious!  I thought Adam was going to have to drag him off that stage.  Mr. Mark said, "Well that's one thing off the bucket list - playing at the Grand Ole Opry."

Doug hooked us up with AMAZING seats to the Predators v. Hurricanes game.  Adam's parents had never been to a hockey game, so it was definitely a treat.  We were literally just a few rows off the ice.  We had a really great time.  Unfortunately, the Hurricanes lost 5 - 2.

Thanks again Doug for the awesome seats!

More fun to be had Sunday!
