The Re-Opening of Opryland

Tonight was A-MAZ-ING!  After the floods this past May in Nashville, Gaylord Opryland was forced to close due to so much water damage.  After months and months of work (and $200 million), Opryland officially opened their doors tonight with a grand re-opening Christmas celebration.

The night kicked off with Gaylord Opryland's lighting ceremony where they turn on their 2 million Christmas lights signifying the official start of the Holiday season.

The Radio City Rockettes performed!

It was amazing when the grounds of Opryland lit up with Christmas lights and a fireworks show.

So many lights - if there was a place to hang lights, they hung them!

Inside of Opryland is just as magical as the outside with Christmas decorations everywhere.

After the lighting ceremony, Val (my date for the night) and I went to an exclusive VIP concert featuring.....

Craig Morgan &

Trace Adkins!!!

Craig Morgan was really good, but let's be honest, Trace Adkins was better!!

(Yes, that's me singing in the background....)

One of my favorite memories as a child was visiting my aunt, uncle and cousins in Mufreesboro, Tenn. with my family and going to the Opryland amusement park (which is no longer open). Opryland is a Nashville institution, and I was really honored to be a part of such a momentous occasion.
