I met up with Olivia and two of her friends for a Girl's Night last night at the Family Wash, an old laundry mat in East Nashville that has been converted into a really cool restaurant. The menu is small and consist of maybe five entrees, but those five entrees are UNBELIEVABLE!
Their specialty is shepherd's pie, so I ordered one to go for Adam. Let's just say he was one happy camper when he arrived home from his football game at 1 a.m. this morning (there was an hour and a half delay due to rain....). He devoured the whole thing!
Every night, this tiny hole in the wall restaurant has live music. Last night, there was a five piece blue grass band. They were really good. The steel guitar player actually used to play with Waylon Jennings.
I had such a great time hanging out with the girls, listening to the band, having a couple of glasses of wine and eating some amazing food (I had roasted chicken, mashed potatoes and the BEST mac-n-cheese I've ever had!).
You can somewhat see the blue grass band from last night. The restaurant is not much bigger than what you see in this picture. It's really small!
...And I'll leave you with a little snippet of the band from last night rockin out!
